- en-CA Niagara Falls Heritage Foundation Government of Canada Local Initiatives Grant AK 2403-9 1974 - 1975 ; Research by George Seibel ; This hotel was built by Saul Davis in 1847, it was used as a family residence as well as a hotel until he built Table Rock in 1854. In the days when the hotl was built, labourers were paid 45 cents a day, carpenters and stone masons received one dollar a day and lumber was ten dollars per thousand board feet. The building was torn down after the Queen Victoria Niagara Falls Park Commission took over ;
