Prior to 1908 the Welland Tribune contained many records from the Willoughby, Crowland, Chippawa and Drummondville area. An index to the Tribune can be found on the Welland Public Library website. The Thorold Post contained records from Stamford Township area prior to 1908. A card index of births, deaths, and marriages exists at the Thorold Public Library for the time period June 1875 - October 1878. A card index of subjects and surnames exists at the St. Catharines Public Library for some of the years from 1875 on.
This index was begun by the late George Seibel, former Official Historian of Niagara Falls and is continued by Niagara Falls Public Library staff.
