- en-CA The fire began in the north wing next to the Lafayette Hotel, very early in the morning and spread through the inside of the hotel attic ; this view shows firefighters spraying water on the north wing where it adjoined the centre section. The main entrance to the hotel was through the pillars shown here and access was by way of Falls Avenue opposite the Foxhead Hotel ;
