Butch has been a driving force for hockey in Niagara Falls over the past five decades, as he continues to grow the sport and provide endless leisure opportunities for the Niagara Falls community. Since the late 1970’s, he has been an influential part of the Niagara Falls Minor Hockey Association. Butch Sacco began volunteering with the Niagara Falls Minor Hockey Association as a House League Coach. As he gained further experience, he began coaching at the Representative Level. His dedication to the children of minor hockey led him to begin serving on the Board of Directors. His roles ranged from House League Convenor, to Vice President and now to his current position of President. Butch is the longest sitting President in NFMHA history. By placing himself within all levels of play and interacting with every league he continues to ensure player development and the success of the Association. Taking an avid interest in local Junior hockey, Butch also became involved with the Niagara Falls Junior teams and has proudly served in a General Manager capacity. Butch continues to volunteer countless hours to the development of youth hockey and has become an influential advocate for the Niagara Falls Minor Hockey programs. He embodies all qualities of a successful role model as well as an ambassador for the community of Niagara Falls within the sport of hockey.
