VanWagner), Magdalena Bowman and Abraham; 1777 oath of Loyalty to His Majesty King George III; joined side of British during Revolutionary War; 1779 successfully crossed enemy lines and staked claim to land on Niagara Escarpment; listed in "Memorial from Loyalists at Sorel", 1784; assessor; fence viewer; one of founders of the Old German Church at Thorold (St. Peter's);
