The Labatt's international fastball tournament got off to a rousing start on the Wednesday night. Twelve teams from Canada and the U.S competed July 30-Aug 4 with some of the best known players in Canada being in Niagara Falls for the double knock-out event. Showing their happiness at the prospect of a great week form the left: Delores Main, Joyce Mackenzie, tournament co-ordinator Leo Burger (sitting with sign) and Don Forgie, Labatt's representative.
Host softball ladies, who manned the registration desks at the Park Motor Hotel for delegates to the 50th annual three-day convention being held by the Ontario Amateur Softball Association here in Niagara Falls, are fulfilling their role of happy greeters.
