The back of the card states Point Prospect but because of the angle of the shot it must have been taken from Luna Island between the Bridal Veil Falls and the American Falls.
A small part of the Horseshoe Falls appears to have been frozen. The main Horseshoe part of the Falls however is still flowing. Goat Island is to the left in the photo.
This air view gives an idea of the immense size and number of talus blocks underneath the Falls. These blocks are normally invisible due to the rapid flow of water over top of them ;

On October 5 1985 John "David" Munday became the 10th person to go over the Canadian Horseshoe Falls in a barrel. He attempted the stunt again on July 15, 1990 but his barrel became stuck on rocks at the brink of the Horseshoe falls and he had to be rescued by a crane.
A young James Cameron, about age 13, poses in front of one of his earlier creations on a window at the Lincoln Trust building on Queen street. Cameron was a regular contestant in the Niagara Art Association's Paint-Out. This Picture of the winning painting in 1968 was taken by contest organizer Elisabeth Daniels. She said she'll give Cameron copies of the picture Saturday as a souvenir.
