Dominion Day Parade, July 1917 Near the corner of Bridge Street and Erie Avenue. Arlington Hotel is on the right and the CNR freight sheds are on the left. The buildings in the distance, which included the Imperial Hotel were demolished to make room for the Niagara Transit garage and Bus Station. Historic Plaque on the Upper Niagara River Parkway near Miller's Creek Plaque reads: Bert Miller: Loyalist homesite of Albert Weatherstone (Bert) Miller, 1882-1973, noted Ontario naturalist who devoted much of his life to the collection and preservation of the rarer plants, shrubs and trees of the Niagara Peninsula. "All my efforts and whatever expense was involved have been rewarded by someone else enjoying what i have found". Erected by the Niagara Parks Commission. -

Three different companies built many ships on this site during the years 1904 to 1930. At this shipyard, known locally as the “Bridgeburg Shipyard”, four ocean cargo boats such as “War Magic” and “War Vixen” were built in 1917-1919. Niagara Parks Police removing Peter DeBernardi from cable attached to Spanish Aero Car On the 9th of September 1990 Peter Debernardi along with Wayne J Harris attempted to hang a Canadian flag from one of the Spanish AeroCar's cables, some 200 feet above the Whirlpool Rapids. He attached himself to the cable by means of a harness and pulley. He then planned to roll himself out to the midpoint of the cable, attach the flag, and then expected to be rescued by the cable car.
