Erie Beach amusement park was owned by a man named Bardol who had a residence. He sold out to the Crystal Beach Co., in the late 1920's and thye park was torn down and the rides were transferred to Crystal Beach. The pavillion which was made of reinforced concrete remained standing as a derelict until the 1980's when it was demolished.

The building with the hip roof behind the billboards is on the South side of Queen St., West of St. Lawrence. It was the natural ice rink which was used for public skating and hockey. It was destroyed by fire soon after 1925 and a new arena was built on Victoria Avenue with artificial ice.
The headstone notes that William Strachan died suddenly whilst touring Niagara Falls with the Young Australia League, the headstone was erected in his memory by the Boys Club Federation of America ;
