en-CA House and shop of Henry Brown on North side of Ferry, opposite Clark, (Ellen Ave. in rear) Built about 1871. Brown was an English builder who came to the Falls in 1841. General Store from 1871. Member of first and succeeding village councils. Flat-roofed addition at left is later. Public weigh scales were opposite side door and windows. Farmers weighed loads of hay here before delivary, or going to Clifton market.
