- en-CA The Rowing Awards for Monika started in 1974. Her pairs team was third in the World Championship in Lucerne Switzerland. This marked the first womens team to represent Canada in any World Championship. Monika's team won the World Rowing Championship in August 1975, and she was a member of the Womens'Eight World Championship Team in November 1978. Monika won several Provincial and National championship medals during her career. The highlight of Monika's career was her appearance in the 1976 Montreal Olympics. In the 1980 Pre-Olympic Regatta she qualified for the boycotted Moscow Olympics.
