Photographs were taken by Fred Helie, a worker on the project sometime between 1950 - 1958

en-CA ...forming of girders for concreting into same place. Traffic from no.1 and no.2 tunnel will travel on the floor laid on these girders. The rock bolts you see jutting out of the rocks will serve to secure the re-inforcing steel in the concrete ring, until ready to pour. Note that the section whre a 12x12 timber holds the loose rock above, is actually the start of the crosscut section
