- Photographs were taken by Fred Helie, a worker on the project sometime between 1950 - 1958
- en-CA Airplane propeller built into a fan and encased in wire mesh. This fan was used at the halfway in the tunnel to increase the ventilation. a frame partition of 10x10 timber covered with tarpaulin but with an opening at the bottom for the fan was erected across the tunnel at the halfway mark. The reason for the tarpaulin was that when dynamite was set off, the displacement of air, rather than break the partition would flutter the tarp in the same way a breeze coming through a window would flutter the curtains
