- en-CA Town of Niagara, Ontario, Canada Known at various times as Butlersburg, West Niagara and Newark. Its first permanent residents including Butler's Rangers and other Loyalists arrived about 1780. It was the administrative and judicial centre of the Niagara District until 1866 and was captured and burnt by American forces in 1813.
