en-CA This sketch of the Whilpool-St. Davids Gorge area is from the George D, Hobson and Jaan Terasmae study Pleistocene Geology of the Buried St. Davids Gorge, Niagara falls, Ontario; Geophysical and Palnological Studies, published 1969 by the Geological Survey of Canada. It shows the location of the buried St. Davids River channel as it wends its way through the lower fruitland plain to lake Ontario. The branch leading to the right is intersected by the present Niagara River just north of McFarland House on the lower Niagara Parkway.
