en-CA Plaque on Portage Road near the bus entrance to the Fallsview casino and the top of the Incline Railway. "Stamford Bridge and Oakes Drive" This bridge and drive were constructed by the Township of Stamford 1934-2935. Roland R. Booth, Reeve. J.C. Morden, Deputy Reeve. L.T. Couch, Deputy Reeve. Simeon Corfield, Counsellor. W.M. Deans, Counsellor. R.S.C. Stalker, Counsellor. This improvement was rendered possible by the foresight and generosity of Harry Oakes E.S.O. of “Oak Hall” Stamford Township. Designed and supervised by Merle F. Ker, B.SC., Township Engineer.”
