Description
en-CA In 1929, during a severe storm, one of the outstretched arms of General Brock was severed. In addition the head and shoulders of the statue and the upper part of the torso were almost shattered by lightning. Extensive repairs were begun the following year. One section of the statue was completely renewed, the whole shaft pointed to make it weather proof, lightning arresters were installed and a new railing placed at the top of the column" This description is from the Review
