- en-CA Steve Trotter, a 22 year old part time bartender from Rhode island became the ninth person to go over the falls on August 18, 1985. He survived the trip. His device was made of 2 plastic pickle barrels surrounded by large inner tubes and covered by a tarpaulin. The picture shows the device being loaded onto a truck by police after his trip.
