en-CA First team choices for the Greater Niagara Softball all-star squads along with three of the four pitchers nominated and their coach and manager pose at Oakes Park prior to a full-scale workout. This first squad along with second team reserves met the powerful Port Colborne all-stars at Oakes Park under the lights in the annual softball classic. Front Row (left to right): outfielder Bobby Mancuso of Daws, catcher Dave Kemp of Drummond Cycle, first baseman Bruce McCrie of Drummond Cycle, outfielder Ray Turcotte of Niagara Hotel, third baseman Phil Campagna of Calaguiros filling in for the absent John Worrall of Venetian and second baseman Gary McGillivray of Drummond. Back row: team manager George Black of Daws, pitcher Roy Foster of Daws, pitcher Ron Arbour of Venetian, hurler George Bell of Calaguiros, shortstop Phil Mazzone of Drakes, outfield Earl Southon of Daws and coach Fred Higgins of Daws. Missing from the photo in addition to Worrall is hurler Joe Kawula of Niagara.
