Close-up view of one corner of the base of Brock's Monument ; square plinth base with columns at each corner ; another column rests on the plinth itself ; stone lions sit at each corner of the base ; on the column facing is a replica of what may be the General wearing the elaborate uniform that he is usually depicted wearing but bearing a great resemblance to a roman centurion ; some of the base is covered in ivy and small bushes and trees are around the base ; a very large crowd of people are standing with their backs to the camera ; majority of the crowd appear to be military ; women are wearing Edwardian style clothing, long skirts, jackets and hats ; men are in suits and wearing hats ; A Union Jack flies from a flag pole located at the right hand side of the monument base ;
