Trolley line through the gorge, Niagara Falls

item
Title
Trolley line through the gorge, Niagara Falls
Description
The giant rock is sometimes referred to as The Sentinel
en-CA Reverse reads "The ruggedness and picturesqueness of nature about Niagara Falls has been seriously modified by the arts of man, the latest invasion being the construction of a Trolley Line through the Gorge, starting at Prospect Park and passing close to Whirlpool Rapids and the River, until it reaches Queenstown [sic] Queenston Heights. The ride is one of the sensations of pleasure and surprise, which sometimes approaches trepidation, as towering rocks, looming threateningly over the tracks cut through bluffs, produce a feeling of insecurity" ;
en-CA Card was mailed in Buffalo New York on September 16th 1912 to Miss Mabel Beach, Roycroft Inn, East Aurora, NY ; message reads "Took this ride yesterday with Harry Weaver and George. Some class! Harry left last night and we leave this morning. More later. Good Luck. EP" ;
