en-CA Following the arrival of Reverend William Leeming from England in 1820, construction of the first church building on this site began. It was completed in 1821. In 1839 the original frame structure was burned down by MacKenzie rebellion sympathizers. The present (2004) building was erected on the original foundation and opened in 1841. The church was designed by architect John G Howard ;
