The Niagara Queen II is a small icebreaker that Ontario Power Generation uses to keep the inlet ports open at their plant on the Niagara River at Niagara Falls.
Construction is almost complete at Casino Niagara, 5705 Falls Ave. Niagara Falls, Ont., for a December 9 opening. The 96,000 square feet of gaming area will include 3,000 slot machines and 123 gaming tables.
Positioned under a high-domed ceiling and surrounded by cascading waterfalls, Casino Niagara's grand staircase is certain to be a focal point of the complex.
Much of the original Maple Leaf Village structure was restored during the construction of Casino Niagara. This grand structure is enclosed and beautifully showcased inside the casino's 80 foot-high glass atrium.
