It is in the box with all the hat trimmings in the back of the closet. That feather is just going to cost too much to have cleaned and velvet will do for a crown for and just black for the trim and it will do allright. I got it to trim that blue silk dress. Uncle Charlie is going to get the peaches. I will see him again tomorrow. Send the velvet in a little pouch. Will write when he sends the peaches and the velvet as soon as you can. Scene along the Gorge, Niagara Falls Reverse reads "The ruggedness and picturesqueness of nature about Niagara Falls has been seriously modified by the arts of man, the latest invasion being the construction of a Trolley Line through the Gorge, starting at Prospect Park and passing close to Whirlpool Rapids and the River, until it reaches Queenstown [sic] Queenston Heights. The ride is one of the sensations of pleasure and surprise, which sometimes approaches trepidation, as towering rocks, looming threateningly over the tracks cut through bluffs, produce a feeling of insecurity" ; -

Queenston Heights, Ontario Although card was never mailed it is dated July 13th Sunday, no year is given, message reads "Dear Mother, I went to Queenston last night, we had very bad electrical storm which cleared off about 10:30. I slept at the dock on some form and left there at 4 am. I bummed a ride into St Catharines 15 miles and had breakfast. left at 8 am for Niagara Falls and bum another ride. I have spent all day here and am now satisfied that there is no work on the Niagara Peninsula. The monument you see here we passed three times right on the heights. To-night I am sleeping in" message ends incomplete ; -

For here, He worked through the inventive genius of man, and gave Niagara a new glory that can be turned on and off at the mere pressing of a switch-button, throwing on the billion candle power battery of electric searchlights which floodlights the Falls, the batteries being hidden in the foliage work invisibly and in no way mar the scenery with the imprint of man's hand. The Whirlpool, Niagara River from Canadian side, Niagara Falls The Whirlpool Rapids occur just three miles below the Falls and just immediately below the Single Arch Street Bridge of the Grand Trunk Railway System. The tremendous current of the Niagara River is here contracted into a narrow passge between the cliffs and the downward grade of the river is extremely abrupt ; -
Cave of the Winds & Bridal Veil Falls, Niagara Falls Rock of Ages and American Falls from below Niagara Falls. Centre Fall issues from between Luna and Goat Island shown in the photograph. At the shore foot under the fall is a place called Cave of the Winds, formed by thirty feet of projecting limestone that had resisted the action of the corroding waters while the shady substratum directly under the ledge has been eaten away. The so-called cave is one hundred feet in height and sixty feet in depth and can be reached by a perpendicular winding stairway from Goat Island. The cave derives it name from the constant pressure of the atmosphere caused by the reflex of the falling water resembles a storm of great violence ; -
