en-CA "The Honeymoon Capital of the World." The falls are 1000 feet wide and situated twenty miles from Lake Erie and fourteen miles from the river mouth in Lake Ontario. The Canadian (or Horseshoe Falls) are 160 feet high, the American falls being 167 feet high. This colourful nightly display is beamed from the Canadian side, a truly spectacular sight. Illumination measures 1,000,320,000 candle power, showing the American and Canadian Falls and the Niagara River Parkway.
