The Niagara Falls Heritage Foundation was founded in the mid 1970s by George and Olive Seibel. The object of this foundation was to obtain copyright-free images, art works, and other materials about Niagara Falls, and to produce books and audio-visual material about the falls. The material acquired by the Foundation was housed in the Niagara Falls Public Library. When the Foundation was disbanded In the mid-1990s ownership of this material was given to the Library.

The Niagara Parks Commission Distribution Centre was formerly the Powerhouse of the Niagara Park and River Railway. The bricked in curved top portals at ground level (to the right) were the entrances to the penstocks. This was the first hydraulic powerhouse on the Canadian side ;
