The Niagara Falls Heritage Foundation was founded in the mid 1970s by George and Olive Seibel. The object of this foundation was to obtain copyright-free images, art works, and other materials about Niagara Falls, and to produce books and audio-visual material about the falls. The material acquired by the Foundation was housed in the Niagara Falls Public Library. When the Foundation was disbanded In the mid-1990s ownership of this material was given to the Library.

When the Maid of the Mist was destroyed by fire this 40 foot yacht was built and brought down the narrow carriage road to the dock ; it was designed to offer a token service until a new Maid of the Mist could be put into service ;

The Ice Bridge broke apart, with Mr. & Mrs. Eldridge Stanton stranded on a piece of Ice. Burrell Hecock attempted to rescue them but all 3 perished in the Lower Niagara River at the Whirlpool Rapids
In 1914 Arthur Holman built this house on his farm. After the death of Mr and Mrs Holman the large greenhouses which stood near the house were demolished. Seniors' Housing now (2004) occupies part of the site, the residence still exists ;
