Starting in the afternoon of October 12, 2006, a massive snow storm hit Fort Erie, Ontario, and Buffalo, New York. Ending in the early morning of October 13 (when the rains began), there were constant winds of 90 km an hour, and snow totalling 30-50 cm (12 - 20") fell on various parts of the town. All utilities were totally knocked out, and power, telephone, and cable services were gradually reinstated over the next few days. Crews from across Ontario were brought in to help. These photos were taken October 14, two days after the storm hit.
