New Falls View Upper Suspension Bridge - Elevator Tower - Promenade Deck
Description

en-CA This is a view from the promenade deck of the Tower at the Canadian Terminus. On July 1872, the Niagara Falls Gazette gave this description of the facilities ..."the promenade deck, twenty feet wide and fifty feet in length, surrounded by a massive railing and amply supplied with chairs. Tourists will find no spot which at the same time affords so comfortable and so magnificent and comprehensive view of Niagara and its surroundings as can be obtained from this point." The ornate woodwork is part of the cupola at the very top of the tower - George Seibel
