Quarry property and surrounding countryside as seen from the air: 1) old quarry works, 2) underground mines / source of Decew dolomite, 3) four brick-lined kilns used for burning limestone, 4) quarry grounds circa. 1837, 5) location of the "Settlement" of 14 workers houses and general store (1928-1938), 6)7)and 8) areas where building stone was processed until 1979, 9) Bruce Trail, 10) former Braas Bros. sand-pit / part of Barre Moraine, 11) St. Davids sand-pit, 12) eastern edge of Whirlpool - St. Davids buried gorge, 13) St. Davids settlement (one of the earliest in the area), 14) York Road, 15) Kings Highway No. 406, 16) Ontario Hydro Pump Storage Reservoir ; The library does not have permission to publish the image but it may be viewed in person at the Victoria Avenue Library ;
