- Description
- LCN 10109954 ; Our Romantic Niagara
- en-CA Used in the book Our Romantic Niagara by Albert H. Tiplin. As a result of the collapse of large pieces of limestone in the 1880s and 90s, this was, for a time, the contour of the Horseshoe Falls. Notice the sharp angle cut into the falls at its vortex. Following further and much larger collapses in 1891, the Falls was reduced to the more continuous convex shape we know today.
