Title
Ice Bridge Niagara / Niagara Falls in Winter
Description
from stereo image no. 645
en-CA It is a beautiful picture as viewed from above and loses none of its grandeur as seen closer to. It is very rough, great lines of snow piled up, ice intercepting its surface in all directions. Jack McCloy was the first to cross it and Mrs. Edwards of Bridgeport who is a guest of Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Edwards of this place, was the first lady to venture the trip. In the past few days hundreds have crossed it. Many people from abroad have already come to see it and the coming week will probably see a large crowd of strangers here, and it's well worth the trip. Grand ice scenery including an ice bridge cannot be seen here every day. Niagara Falls Gazette January 18, 1888
