- en-CA The boys have enjoyed the ice mountain throughly. In fact there has not been such good sliding there since the famous Winter of 1879. Some who have strong clothes sit down on the ice and glide off. Some use a piece of board for a sled. Some stand up and go down, in a perpendicular position, while some have tried real sleds. These latter are more dangerous, so steep is the grade and so swiftly do they go. The best sleds ever invented for this kind of sliding are made of six barrel staves ...
