- en-CA On Saturday last a verdant stranger who knew all about coasting, thought it was easy enough to slide down the ice mountain. He borrowed a small sled, carried it to the top of the mound and started. When he stopped in his descent his sled was many feet away from him and his body and face were badly bruised ; in fact part of the outer skin of his face has been deposited along the ice mound in his rapid trip. He does not claim to be an expert any more. Niagara Falls Gazette, February 22 1888.
