Title
Gustav F. Lofberg and James H. Harris marooned on the scow in the Upper Rapids
Description
BARGE
en-CA The stranded scow lying in the Upper Rapids has been a fixture since August 6, 1918. It broke loose while being towed by the tug Hassayampa, after the tug went aground in the American Channel opposite Port Day, less than a mile above the Falls. ...a line was shot out from the top of the Toronto Power House. Attempts were made to rig a breeches buoy, but the lines became fouled and it was not until "Red Hill" volunteered his services that it was possible to bring the men to shore.
