Lee), Ellen Scott, William Dickson, Maria and Francis Gore (all by 2nd wife Sarah); son of Elizabeth and Caleb Swayze Sr.; brother of Caleb Jr., Daniel, Susanna Sharp, Lydia Horton, Israel and Mehitable Faircloe; with help of his wife he escaped execution during Revolutionary War; 2nd son of Elizabeth and Caleb Swayze Sr.; brother of Caleb Jr.; served as guide with British army during Revolutionary War; between 1776 to 1780 fought in many battles; one of early settlers on Niagara frontier; 1794 received 1200 acres for his loyalty and losses; later lived in Queenston where he was Inspector of Customs; 1792-96, 1801-1808 and 1813-1820 served as Member of Legislature of Upper Canada; during War of 1812 served as Captain in charge of a Troop of Provincial Royal Artillery Drivers;
