- en-CA b. Dec 23,1741 (Maryland); d. Feb 3 (20 ?),1834 (Loyalist cemetery at Freeman near Burlington; husband of Hannah Phillips (m. 1771 in Virginia); father of Elizabeth Ghent, Asahel, William Jr., Mary Gage, Jonathan, Keziah Cline and Sarah Chisholm; son of Mary and Thomas Davis; after marriage moved to North Carolina wher he became large plantation owner with distilleries and breweries; did not fight in Revolutionary War but actively supported the King's troops; received a Due Bill for 10,000 Pounds from Lord Cornwallis; obtained 2,300 acres in Barton and Saltfleet Townships; built "Harmony House" near Albion Falls with a tannery, distillery, an orchard, a herd of Ayrshire cattle and a saw and grist mill;
