Daniel, Johann Nicolas, David, Henry and Abraham; son of Marie Catharine and Theobald [Dewalt, David] Jung; brother of Frederick Young and others; 1761 founding member of Sand Hill-Canajoharie Church (Dutch-German Reformed Church); very active in military affairs of the Mohawk valley; 1763 Capt. Klock's militia company of Canajoharie; 1767 Lieut. and 1768 Capt. of German Flats militia; 1778-1780 Butler's Rangers, 6th Company; ca. 1766 moved family to Youngsfield in the German Flats District; land-speculator; farmer; owner of saw mill and potash works; operated Indian trading post; Jul 15,1783 judgement was signed for confiscation of his property in New York;
