William, Johann Warner, Ann and Abraham (all by 1st wife Margretha); son of William Nelles; brother to 3 sisters and 4 brothers; Indian Department; served during French-Indian wars and during Revolutionary War; 1759 capture of Fort Niagara; came to Canada as Loyalist refugee; various land grants; 1787 made Major with 3rd Regiment of the Nassau Militia and appointed coroner for district;
