(killed in action); husband of Jeanet [Janet] Nixon; father of James, Marion Bastedo, Isabel Deforest, Sarah McKowen, Walter, Janet Evans and John; son of Catharine and Archibald Thompson; brother of Benjamin, James, Richard, Archibald Jr., Nelly, Isabel, Lydia and Catharine; served in Scotland in the Edinburgh Volunteers; 1785 came to Niagara with his brother James; Private in 2nd Lincoln Militia during War of 1812;
