Count Joseph-Genevieve de Puisaye, Order of St. Louis, Marquis de Brecourt and Marquis de Menilles; b. 1755 (Montagne-au-Perche, France); d. 1827 (England); 1788 married sole heir of the Marquis of Menilles; father of 1 daughter; 1789 elected to the Estates-General, France's 1st parliament; as a counter-revolutionary he fled to England; 1798 he led 41 French Loyalists as immigrants to Canada; 1802 returned to London, England where he married Susanna; never returned to Canada;
