- Probably a shelter and change house for the Trip behind the Falls ; Horseshoe Falls in background ;
- en-CA Niagara Falls Heritage Foundation Government of Canada Local Initiatives Grant AK 2403-9 1974 - 1975 ; Artistic recreation from a sketch taken from an unknown publication ; Research by George Seibel ; "Frances Milton Trollope in "Domestic manners of Americans" published in London 1832, wrote about this shantee which contained the book of names of those who ventured behind the "Sheet of water". Certificates were given out to those who "had passed behind the great falling sheet of water". According to a certificate in Library and Archives Canada, Isaiah Starkey was the concessionaire in charge on the trip in 1838. At one time, according to Sir Richard Bonnycastle, writing inh the early 1840s, it was necessary to pass through a bar room at the top of the stairs on the way down the bank" excerpted from Niagara Falls Canada : A History page 261 ;
